William Forsythe
For over 15 years, Alan Barnes was principal dancer at the world-famous Frankfurt Ballet under the direction of William Forsythe. During his engagement there, he assisted the groundbreaking choreographer and danced in many of his award-winning pieces including: 'As a Garden in this Setting', 'Eidos: Telos', 'Impressing the Czar', 'Isabelle’s Dance', 'Limbs Theorem' and 'The Loss of Small Detail'. Throughout his career with Forsythe, Alan Barnes toured frequently with the Frankfurt Ballet in Australia, China, Germany, France, Italy, Japan, Canada, the Netherlands and the USA. He was regularly commissioned by William Forsythe to introduce his multi-layered artistry to the acclaimed dance companies of these various countries.
