Alan Barnes works as a freelance choreographer time and again at renowned theaters such as the Deutsches Nationaltheater Weimar, the Friedrichstadt-Palast, the largest theater stage in the world, the Maxim Gorki Theater Berlin, the Schauspielhaus Düsseldorf and Schauspielhaus Zurich as well as the Salzburg Festival. Whether a play, a musical or an operetta, directors like Barrie Kosky or Christian Weise have established with him long-term collaborations, appreciating the precision and creativity that he effortlessly brings to the stage in their joint productions. He works with all the possibilities of dance - from classical ballet to hip hop, jazz, modern, improvisation or contemporary dance.
